Continuity Engine Launched by Perimeter eSecurity Founder, Internet Veteran and Industry Luminary
Continuity Engine, a new company that simplifies regulatory compliance for banks and credit unions, announced its founding and seed funding by Gnostic Ventures. Continuity Engine was founded by Andy Greenawalt, SaaS pioneer and founder of Perimeter eSecurity; and Mike Jennings, business continuity veteran.
Monroe, CT September 18, 2008 -- Continuity Engine is creating a series of on-demand tools to replace the cumbersome manual tasks related to the management of policies, procedures and audit programs in community banks and credit unions. By automating these tasks, Continuity Engine improves the process dramatically and makes regulatory reporting simple, creating “Simple Solutions for the Rest of Us”.
“Continuity Engine was founded to simplify the problem of regulatory compliance, improve the internal operations, and make continuity easier. Most solutions that address regulatory needs are for large companies, and reflect all the complexity of those businesses,” said Mr. Greenawalt. “After serving more than 2,500 banks and credit unions with Perimeter, it was clear that the existing offerings simply didn’t work for these mid-sized businesses.”
Continuity Engine was founded by veterans in the compliance and continuity industry.
Andy Greenawalt, chief executive officer, was the founder of Perimeter eSecurity, and served as the CTO and a director for 10 years. During his tenure, he helped define the SaaS industry for information security, and won numerous growth awards. Mike Jennings, board of directors, was vice president at industry pioneer Strohl Systems where he grew his division more then 1500%. Mike is a member of the graduate faculty at both Boston University and Norwich University in the areas of risk management and business continuity. He has also held positions with Iron Mountain and Brocade. Mike currently serves on the advisory board for Continuity Insights. The Continuity Engine team is also joined by experts from Priceline, ESPN, Disney and GE. “After spending years in the industry it became clear that things were broken, and that the solutions were simply too complicated for most organizations to use, but this fact only increased their risk”, said Mr. Jennings. “Our vision is to create a completely new class of solution, one that’s simple, effective and affordable. If we are successful in doing this we will reduce the risk in the industry dramatically.”
